PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The University of London’s Senate House, (as featured in the Batman film franchise) were referred to EHP through a previous client, to design and construct a removable, drop-well theatre staging solution, for semi-permanent use in their Beveridge Hall meeting room.
THE CLIENT
University of London
THE BRIEF
To design and manufacture a staging solution to fill the drop-well theatre, whilst allowing the existing heating units to function as normal. Furthermore, the staging should be erected and dismantled in only four hours.
THE SOLUTION
Due to the physical shape of the hall and the size of the infill area over 90 staging decks were made, and of these, 34 were bespoke. All were finished with a contract carpet and air grills to allow for the flow of hot air from the existing heating units.
From concept to completion, this project took just three short weeks. The EHP team then undertook a one-day onsite training session with the Senate House facilities team, to train and advise on erecting and dismantling the staging in a safe and efficient manner. The Staging was originally built in 2013 and is still in good working condition. We now do annual checks for Senate house and offer top up instruction courses for their new staff.
